Fallen Hero Laid to Rest

Army Sgt. Eric C. Newman, 30, of Waynesboro was buried Saturday at Hebron Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.  Eric Newman’s mother, Dianne Newman, remembers her son as a compassionate and loving person according to reports in the Clarion Ledger. He was killed in a bombing Oct. 14 in Afghanistan.

About 200 people gathered at Freeman Chapel funeral home to pay their respects to Newman and his family, including members of the Patriot Guard Riders, military officials, police officers and state troopers.  Hero Energy shot recognizes the dangers that come to those who serve us and is a reason a portion of all purchases goes to support organizations who support our heroes.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Newman family
